Tack Booster

Instant Adhesion, Absolute Control

Tack Solution PPF is a professional solution formulated to modulate, in a controlled manner, the bonding kinetics of the acrylic adhesives used in PPF films.

Unlike improvised water and alcohol mixtures, its formulation has been developed through calibrated viscosity engineering, designed to interact with medium-to-high tack adhesive systems, the reference standard in the professional market.

The product acts as a selective “activation booster”: it reduces the initial anchoring time of the adhesive and increases its response to mechanical pressure, enabling a rapid transition from positioning to final fixing.

The controlled evaporation curve prevents chemical shock to the adhesive, avoiding hazing, opacification, or alteration of optical clarity typical of unbalanced alcohol-based solutions.

The result is precise adhesion management even on complex geometries, with greater immediate stability, reduction of post-installation micro-movements, and maximum visual integrity of the film over time.

Controlled adhesive activation:
ideal for precise locking even on complex curves.

Stabilized Ready-to-Use formula:
eliminates any risk of mixing errors.

Prevents adhesive hazing:
maintaining perfect transparency under the film.

Evaporates quickly with no residue:
avoiding streaks or stains under the PPF.

Ideal for high-tension points and edges:
where an immediate, controlled grip is required.

Labocosmetica’s Tack Solution PPF is the professional solution developed for the tacking phase during the installation of protective films.

Its Ready-to-Use formula is designed to activate the adhesive at the exact moment it’s needed, allowing fast and precise fixing on curves, edges, and critical points, with no risk of hazing the finish or compromising the film’s transparency.

The activation speed has been scientifically calibrated to match the bonding rate of medium-to-high tack PPF adhesives, the most common in the professional market.

Technical Details

Activation calibrated to the adhesive

The purified hydro-alcoholic matrix has been calibrated to the bonding speed of medium-to-high tack PPF adhesives, ensuring a fast but controlled adhesive grab without causing chemical shock.

Progressive, controlled activation

The alcohol component, stabilized at an equivalent ratio of 10–15%, breaks surface tension and progressively activates the film’s acrylic adhesive, avoiding the adhesive hazing typical of unbalanced IPA mixtures.

Compatibility with film top-coats

Unlike raw IPA, the formula has been tested to be chemically neutral on the self-healing top-coats of modern PPF films, preserving gloss and transparency.

Complete evaporation with no residue

The 0.95 g/mL density allows a uniform spread of the liquid which, once squeegeed, evaporates completely without leaving residues, streaks, or liquid “islands” trapped under the film.

Tack Solution PPF is the ideal tool for locking the film at the most critical points

Application Guide

01
READY-TO-USE product. No further dilution is required for standard application (fast tack).

02
For specific uses where a less aggressive tack is required (e.g., large flat surfaces), the product may be diluted with distilled water up to a 1:1 ratio, but pure use is recommended for maximum performance on edges.

03
Usage: First apply the film using a Slip Solution to position it.

04
Lift the edge of the film near the anchoring point (edge, curve, or recess).

05
Spray Tack Solution PPF generously onto both the bodywork and the adhesive side of the film.

06
Lay down the film and pass the squeegee with firm pressure to push out the liquid and trigger immediate adhesion.

Ideal Use Cases

Fixing film on side mirrors with pronounced curves.
Locking the edges of the hood and wheel arches.
PPF installation on front bumpers with complex air intakes.
Installation of headlight tint films.
High-tension points where the film tends to lift (fingering).
